The Women’s Hospital now manages The Women’s Pavilion inside Deaconess Henderson Hospital. This includes inpatient units for labor and delivery, post-partum, gynecological conditions and surgery, well-baby nursery and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Staff members in Henderson will benefit from increased training opportunities including simulation labs. These educational simulations use high-fidelity manikins to teach the skills necessary to address high-risk deliveries and newborns who require resuscitation.
With the new arrangement, patients and staff will also have increased access to maternal-fetal medicine providers and services, allowing women with high-risk pregnancies to receive treatment in their own community.
The Women’s Hospital is a jointly owned facility between Deaconess Hospital and Evansville Holdings I, LLC which is comprised of obstetricians/gynecologists and other physician specialists. A list of physician owners is available upon request.
