A message from our CNO
Deaconess nurses are at the forefront of providing excellent patient care with a compassionate and caring spirit. Their dedication to safe, patient-centered care enabled Deaconess Hospital, Inc. (Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Deaconess Gateway Hospital, and Deaconess Cross Pointe) to receive Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center in 2013.
This elite accomplishment was the result of nurse leaders at all levels supporting Deaconess nurses’ participation in the house-wide Nursing Shared Governance Councils, interdisciplinary teams, unit-based nursing councils and other nurse-led initiatives. Deaconess nurses receive generous support from the Deaconess Foundation and tuition reimbursement programs for their ongoing professional development through continuing education, access to advancing formal education, and frequent participation in local, regional and national conferences benefiting their specialty interest and professional growth.
Deaconess’ overall vision is to be the preferred regional healthcare partner for patients, providers, employers and payers with access to innovative, efficient, top-quality healthcare. Deaconess nurses demonstrate commitment to this vision through our nursing shared governance structure that creates a professional practice environment, partnering with other clinical team members to provide integrated patient care delivery that is evidence-based and delivers the highest quality outcomes.
I invite you to experience Deaconess nurses’ pride throughout our website. We are positioned as an integrated health care team to accomplish even more in the interest of extraordinary patient care. Thank you for considering joining the Deaconess team, you have a choice and we hope you choose Deaconess.
