Community Program Fund

The Deaconess Henderson Hospital (DHH) Community Program Fund is a result of the merger of Methodist Hospital and the Deaconess Health System.  At the time of the merger funds were approved to be used every year to promote the health and well-being of the citizens of Henderson County, Kentucky.

The DHH Community Program Committee will accept grant proposals from all interested non-profit organizations serving Henderson County, Kentucky.  Grant opening dates, deadlines, and guidelines for submission will be communicated via email, letter, and through local media.  Final approval for awards will be made by the DHH Advisory Board.

The grant application window will run from February 1 to February 29. Winners will be announced in March 2024.

Grant monies will go to those organizations addressing the areas identified in the current Henderson County Community Health Needs Assessment.

  • Mental health
  • Substance abuse
  • Obesity/diabetes
  • Health equity/access

Other health related community programs such as those promoting wellness, providing access to health screening, and preventing illness will also be considered.
