Urologic Oncology Conference
1st and 3rd Monday of every month, 7:15 AM - 8 AM
Medical review board members include:
- Urologist - A sub-specialist physician who specializes in cancers of urologic organs
- Medical Oncologist - A physician who specializes in medications used in cancer care
- Radiation Oncologist - A physician who specializes in radiation therapy
- Pathologist - A physician who examines tissues to help diagnose diseases
- Interventional Radiologist - A physician who interprets x-rays.
MD Anderson Cancer Network Conference
Weekly, Tuesday at 7 AM
MD Anderson Cancer Network’s weekly care conference during which we can present our patients’ complex cases to some of world‘s leading cancer experts to ensure our patients are offered every treatment opportunity for difficult or aggressive tumors. The ease of the peer-to-peer consultations between our certified Deaconess physicians and the experts at MD Anderson Cancer Network meets our goal of providing the highest quality of comprehensive cancer care.
Lung Nodule Review Board
1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month, 7:15 AM - 8 AM
Medical review board members include:
- Medical Oncologist - A physician who specializes in medications used in cancer care
- Radiation Oncologist - A physician who specializes in radiation therapy
- Radiologist - A physician who specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging
- Pulmonologist - A physician who specializes in lung diseases
- Thoracic Surgeon - A physician who specializes in lung and chest surgery
- Interventional Radiologist - A physician who interprets x-rays
Other team members include interventional radiologists, who interpret x-rays, and pathologists, who diagnose diseases of cells and tissues.
Multi-disciplinary GI (Gastrointestinal) Tumor Conference
Weekly, Thursday, 7 AM - 8 AM

Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Program
Weekly, Friday at 7:30 AM
The Multidisciplinary Breast Cancer Program includes breast surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and a certified breast cancer nurse navigator. During your visit you may also see a plastic surgeon, genetic counselor and other healthcare providers if necessary. You will meet with each member of your health care team in a single appointment where you have a coordinated plan of care. Family members, and you are encouraged to prepare questions to discuss with each specialist. Your nurse navigator will be involved along the way. She will summarize all of your information from your appointment into an easy-to-understand written plan of care.
General Tumor Conference, for all other complex cancers
