Evansville Central High School wrestling coach, Michael Lapadat, and his program have hosted Takedown Breast Cancer wrestling tournament fundraisers and 3K walk/run events for several years. Coach Lapadat wanted the proceeds from his wrestling program’s fundraisers to stay local. After learning about the Deaconess mobile mammography program, Coach Lapadat knew the program fit perfectly with his program’s vision.
“I liked that the Deaconess mobile mammography program went to several places in our area,” said Coach Lapadat. “If there was follow-up care needed with the patient, Deaconess makes sure the patient is helped.”
The Deaconess Mobile Mammography program makes breast cancer screening easy and convenient to area communities. As the first mobile breast center in Southern Indiana to offer 3D mammography, Deaconess brings this quality service to women where they live and work. The mobile mammography service is designed to ensure all women have access to an annual mammogram screening, regardless of ability to pay or travel to a breast imaging center.
Thank you to Coach Lapadat and the Evansville Central High School wrestling program for their generous support!
